Yeah, what he said..
[Posting it because 30 years from now, 8th graders learning about U.S. history will read a paragraph about this speech in their textbooks.]

About 30 members of a reputed white supremacists' group marched through the streets of Jena, La., Monday, expressing disdain for the holiday honoring slain civil rights leader Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as for six black Jena teenagers charged with beating a white classmate.
The group, which included two men who came armed, was followed closely for a while by about 100 counterprotesters who exchanged barbed comments with the group. They later backed off at police request.
"No to King! No the Jena Six!" shouted the group members, who belong to the Nationalist Movement.
Luckily, they were vastly outnumbered by counterprotesters who chanted "Down with the Klan!" A white supremacist spokesman responded, "Up with America!"
Up with America, riiight.

Today is my first day ever in Virginia, not the deep south, but still the south. Today, I will see what real racism is, perhaps. How much racism do you guys experience? I guess we have to be the change.

It's sad how people divide on account of skin color. Schools choosing students by race? I think that's a little extreme.
Ukraine is still a young democracy and is still experiencing political turmoil. I hope this is resolved peacefully. I have a deep respect for Ukraine. Russia, on the other hand, is a world leader (kind of) and they need to get their act in gear... what kinds of attitudes are these?
