What do you think about parents on facebook? I admit, if my parents created one I'd be a little freaked out, but I'd say, "haha, yeah right. I'm not 'friending' you." But I feel like they should be able to do what the want. Facebook is a useful tool after all- many (maybe even all) of the '08 candidates have facebooks, and it can be used to bring awareness to various events going on in your campus or city or wherever.
Anyway, I'm Ally. I've been lurking for a while and this is my first post. I finally created an account last week.
Peace.

It's sad how people divide on account of skin color. Schools choosing students by race? I think that's a little extreme.
Ukraine is still a young democracy and is still experiencing political turmoil. I hope this is resolved peacefully. I have a deep respect for Ukraine. Russia, on the other hand, is a world leader (kind of) and they need to get their act in gear... what kinds of attitudes are these?

Well now, what is going on today? So, I am on a really old computer right now, and there is no button to creat links. This shall be a long post.

I've been using Google Reader for a few days now, and it's bar none the best RSS reader I've ever used.

First off, an apology to Lose the Label, especially Jake and Grant. I helped kick off the second round of LtL website development late last year but the change in semester and a load of new activities has severely hampered my ability to work on the website. But, I'm working on changing that, or at least devoting a few hours to write for our frontpage.
Who am I?

Last night, I succeeded in doing something that I've been trying to do for the past 2 months. It may seem minor to you, but it's a big deal for me.
My home computer can now turn itself off automatically, without me pressing the power button. Furthermore, it can now save the contents of its memory and turn itself off, both on my command and automatically after 45 minutes, so that when I press the power button it will restore itself to the same point it was at when I last used it.
This is a big deal for me because my home computer is roughly 10 years old, and runs Ubuntu Linux.
